Age Bracket- Aspirants should fall under the age limit of 21 years to 30 years as on 1st of September, 2014. Contenders should have been born after 2nd of September, 1984 and before 1st of September, 1993.

Academic Qualifications- Applicants must possess a Graduation degree in any subject from a known University or any other qualification equivalent to it.

Cost of Application- Aspirants are required to pay Rs.500 as cost of application, except aspirants of SC / ST category who are required to pay Rs.100. Offline payment of application fee has to be paid through system generated Fee Payment Challan which is to be deposited from second working day at any SBI branch after the registration. Online payment of application fee has to be paid by using Credit Card / Debit Card / Internet Banking.

Process of Selection- Selection of spirants will be based on Objective Test, Descriptive Test, Group Discussion and Interview.

Eligibility Conditions:

The candidates applying for the concerned post should be a graduate from a recognized university in India or anything equivalent thereto for this purpose. 

Age Eligibility:

The candidates applying for the post of Probationary officer must not be less than 21 and more than 30 years of age. The candidates seeking relaxation in ages will be given as per the rules of government rules framed for this purpose which is as follows:
3 Years for OBC
5 Years for SC/ ST; Ex-Servicemen

Hiring Process:

The candidates are selected through a written exam which is followed by a group discussion and interview for all the eligible candidates. The exam will be conducted in two phases: the first phase consists of Objective Tests and Descriptive Tests (250 marks). The second phase consists of the Group Discussion and Interview (50 marks).

Examination Scheme:

The written exam consists of Objective Tests (200 marks) in objective type questions on the following 4 sections:

I. English Language: This section contains questions on Grammar, Vocabulary and Comprehension etc.
II.General Awareness, Marketing and Computers
III.Data Analysis and Interpretation
IV.Reasoning (High Level)

The Descriptive Test (50 marks) is a 1 hour test of English Language which consists of questions on Comprehension, Short Précis, Letter Writing and Essay.

The candidates will have to qualify in each section of the paper in order to qualify in the round with the minimum percentage of marks as decided by the Bank on the basis of the collective performance of the candidates in the test. 

The marks obtained by the candidates in the Objective and the Descriptive Tests will be converted to out of 75 and marks obtained in the GD and Interview will be converted out of 25 for arriving at the final merit list which is out of 100 for each category. The final selections will be made from the top ranked candidates in each category.

Academic Requirement: Those who have Graduation/Post graduation degree in the specialized area are eligible for the post. The candidates should have passed qualifying examination before the date of interview and must furnish the mark sheet of the same.
